I recently freaked out when I started to have sudden sharp shooting pains firing through my skull. Went to the doc and was told that I strained my eyes. My best guess is that I was pulling too many hours at work lately. In response to the news I went out and ordered me a pair of Gunnars. I was tickled to find that I had the option of having prescription Zeiss lenses. The cool thing is that they sent the normal lenses for me to switch into if I ever get corrective surgery.
I have a couple Oakleys and this Gunnar frame feels less solidly built, it doesn't feel cheap, just hollow I think. The weight is nice and light. The yellow tint doesn't seem to bother me much.
Honestly I can't feel the difference with my eyes straining when compared to the Oakley. I should give an update after I have worn it more. My optometrist also lowered my astigmatism correction for my Gunnar. We both wanted to get my a pair of computer glasses.
In the end I got this for my piece of mind.
**UPDATE 2/7/13**
One thing that I've noticed is that these glasses slip down my nose a lot easier than my Oakley. My fault for getting straight temples with no grip on it to hold the frame to my head.
