Zeiss ZM 50mm F2.0

I did a bad thing. I came across a friend selling his Zeiss ZM 50mm F2.0 and on impulse, I jumped for it. I then got an Fotodiox adapter for it so I could use it on my Fuji X-e2. Ever since I got the OM 24mm and having to focus manually its really opened me up to other manual focus lens. Been building up my confidence that I'm able to nail the focusing. I'm not sure if today the stars were aligned for me but I'm loving the photos that I was able to get from my small photowalk. Loving the color and the punchiness. Next stop the red dot station? Yikes!
My thoughts on the Zeiss ZM 50mm F2.0
Pros
  • Smooth focusing ring
  • Distance marking for focusing
  • Not free spinning focus ring
Cons
  • It didn't come with a hood and the real hood cost $84, which is more than I want to pay for a hood
