SmugMug buys Flickr

I'm very torn. Part of me is happy that Flickr lives, part of it is uncertain of how SmugMug will care for Flickr now. I'm not sure which direction SmugMug will take Flickr and I have no experience with SmugMug in the past. I'm not saying they are bad or not, there's just a lot of unknowns. I just know that I have until end of May of this year to delete my account if I don't want my data to get transitions to another company.
Life has gotten busier recently and its been harder to get out and shoot as much as I use to. I'm still able take photos of something monthly but its now more documenting life than art.

Here is what I'm thinking
  • I think I'm grandfathered into an old rate, I pay $25 a year
  • Flickr for me has been the best place for me to organize, sort and find my photos
  • I spent over a decade inputing location data on each of my photos
  • I use Flickr to host my photos on this blog
  • Being able to pull up my photos and its meta data from my photo can be handy while I'm not home
  • How many people visit my account / am I posting for the views or for myself
  • It's only $25 a year, but what else can I do with it
  • I already paid for a year's subscription back in Feburary
I've been a member of Flickr since June of 2007 and I'm not totally certain what to do, we will see what happens in a couple weeks. What do you think I should do?

[UPDATE]
On 11/13/2018, SmugMug decided to increase their annual price to $50. I guess for me that something I don't want to continue to pay for. So between now till early next year I'll come up with a new solution, where I can keep sharing my photos.
